Job Description

Cenergy is seeking an entry-level or early career mechanical engineer to join our growing team in Milton, WV. As a key employee in our engineering division, the successful candidate will work as an integral part of our cross functional engineering team. The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for performing and/or assisting with engineering and design of all mechanical engineering related items defined within the project scope of work.

 

Essential Job Function

Under the supervision of the Lead Mechanical Engineer, the responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer include, but are not limited to:

• Perform facility designs in compliance with technical specifications, Engineering Standards, Construction Standards, and applicable code requirements.
• Collaborate with mechanical, civil, and electrical engineers and designers
• Prepare/review project Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Conduct and facilitate QA/QC design reviews
• Provide assistance to estimating, procurement, manufacturing, and construction personnel for mechanical design related items
• Perform other activities as directed by Management and Lead Engineers

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Competent in Microsoft Office suite of programs and engineering/design software applications
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to perform tasks with minimal guidance or supervision
• Desire, willingness, and ability to learn new skills

What you offer (Education and Experience):

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (ABET accredited)
• 0-3 years of experience in mechanical engineering design
• Exposure to and working knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD, and Inventor Design Suite.
• Willingness to travel 0-10%7
